One year ago today we settled on our house. (The picture is a couple weeks before settlement.
We're finally starting to get settled in. We sent in the last bits of warranty repair work this week and they're coming out on Monday to take a look at everything and decide what they'll actually work on.
And a year after we settled to the day, mom and dad are settling on their new place. They'll be moving out of our house and to West Virginia.
This weekend is the Super Pet Expo and in what has become tradidition, Cisco, Berkley and I will help out our friends at The Animals' House will the agility demos. Well my friend Kathy who usually runs the demos had an unexpected dealth in the family and has left town leaving the demos to Cameron, Paul and I. Fortunatley she left us with a detailed schedule and instructions so hopefully things will be smooth sailing.
I'm thinking about Kathy and her family.
Mason in the Final Four.
Unbelievable. I usually don't pay much attention to college basketball but with all the hype around GMU (I'm a 2000 graduate) and some of the first and second rounds being played in the UD Arena I've taken an interest this year. (I played in the Pep Band for the UD Flyers for the two years I attened UD.)
And we're missing out. It's that time of year where the weekly chatter in class turns into are you going to X trial this weekend. Were you at Y trial last weekend. And our answer is no.
Why? Well it's called having a very enthusiastic golden that thinks agility is so much fun that we're going to continue to run around the ring like a wild man a few times before focusing. Actually we're starting to see some improvements, so I'm planning on entering Cisco in a trial in May, and both of them in a trial in June. Berkley doesn't do USDAA trials because he would have to jump basically as high as his shoulders and for a big boned breed, I'd rather he didn't. Depending on how those trials go, we'll go from there.
My friend Liz told me about Meebo yesterday. It's the web based chat app that allows you to connect to multiple different IM clients from a web window. No need to install software. I can't install software at work, so I'm liking it.
Yesterday my friend Kerry and I went down to Richmond to attend a Photoshop CS2 Creativity seminar. I'm still running version 7 of Photoshop. I was about to upgrade to CS, when I heard CS2 was coming out, so I decided to wait. Well, it didn't come out as soon as I thought it would after I heard it was coming. And then once it did, I wanted to make sure that it didn't have a lot of bugs and that it was worth upgrading to -- which in retrospect it was really silly since I had already decided it was worth upgrading to CS.
Then I found out that since I hadn't upgraded to CS, it was going to cost more to updated. I finally did get an upgrade, but it ended up being the CS upgrade, and not the upsell from version 7. So adobe was nice enough to refund the money from the wrong upgrade and now I just need to convince myself to spend the money for the actual upgrade I need.
Oh and have I mentioned I'm two versions behind with Flash too?
Edit: So I finally got it. It's great, but one problem, I can only one run app on my laptop at a time. Guess I'll have to look into a new one of those too
My Aunt Terri and Uncle Al are on a cruise with my mom and dad. Dad sent an e-mail yesterday saying that my uncle isn't doing well, and to call his kids and my Aunt Bobbie and have her pray. The ship's phone are down, but they'd have captian radio one of my cousins if things got worse.
After that, all I've found out is that the doctor says he can't fly. And may dad will let us know when they know something. I've been checking my e-mail multiple times an hour hoping to hear some news, preferably good.
If anyone has some extra prayers or good thoughts, if you could send them my uncle's way, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.
